Ute Schauberger
Design Ethnography Lead
Ute Schauberger is a designer and anthropologist passionate about making health services work better for people and the planet. She joined PEAK15health as Design Ethnography Lead in May 2025 to drive design thinking ideas across global public health projects.
Ute leads the Service Design Practice at Opencast Software and is Course Lead for Foundations in Design at the University of Edinburgh’s Medical School. Ute brings over a decade of experience in inclusive service transformation, having worked with NHS England, NHS Scotland, Scottish Care, and the Digital Health & Care Innovation Centre. She combines design, ethnography, and strategy to drive meaningful change, with a deep commitment to improving systems with and for the people who use them. Ute thrives at the intersection of ethnography, design, and strategy, fostering collaborative environments that prioritise inclusion and innovation.
